- Return to: Albatross Special
The Albatross C-Spin (alias Albatross TKI) is a 14th row loop invented by Agent 1568AH in October 2021. It is designed to create a C-Spin in the third and fourth bags. The Z and T pieces always make the notch and the L piece makes the base. The placement of the I, J, O and S pieces vary. In the best-case scenario, you should be able to achieve a T-Spin Double and Perfect Clear altogether in the fifth bag.
First and second bags
The first two bags are stacked exactly the same way as the usual.
Third, fourth and fifth bags
Currently, there are three ways to stack the third bag, shown below. All of them require the Z piece to come before the T piece.
Setup 3A
If the J piece comes before S and then the I and O pieces, this setup should be used. It is problematic to stack the fourth bag if the L piece comes early, but setup J does require it to come early alongside O and Z and setups H and I does not involve any requirements with it. On the other hand, if the Z or S piece comes early, you can always stack setup C or G, respectively.
- Setup A (100% PC rate, 10 minimal solutions): Along with setup B, this is the first of the two setups where you can always get a Perfect Clear.
- Setup B (100% PC rate, 20 minimal solutions): This is the second of the two setups where you can always get a Perfect Clear.
- Setup C (99.33% PC rate, 5 minimal solutions): This is the only setup where there are two ways to stack the fourth bag like so. The latter can always be used if you have ZLS or ZSL.
- Setup D (99.13% PC rate, 8 minimal solutions)
- Setup E (95.28% PC rate, 9 minimal solutions)
- Setup F (94.25% PC rate, 8 minimal solutions): Despite its Perfect Clear rate, it is easier to achieve a T-Spin Double and a Perfect Clear than most of the setups above.
- Setup G (94.01% PC rate, 15 minimal solutions): Similar to setup F, it is relatively easy to achieve a T-Spin Double and Perfect Clear in the fifth bag. This setup can always be used if you have SZL or SLZ.
- Setup H (93.69% PC rate, 9 minimal solutions)
- Setup I (82.18% PC rate, 4 solutions)
- Setup J (67.78% PC rate, 4 minimal solutions)
- Setup K (66.67% PC rate, 4 solutions)
Setup 3B
If the O and J pieces come early, this setup should be used. In this case, an early Z and/or O piece in the fourth bag is preferable; the only exception to this condition is setup F.
- Setup A (100% PC rate, 20 minimal solutions): This is the only setup where you can always get a Perfect Clear in the fifth bag.
- Setup B (99.72% PC rate, 5 minimal solutions): If the Z comes early, but the O and S pieces also come early, this setup can be used. It is the same shape that is traditionally made in DTTKI.
- Setup C (97.66% PC rate, 14 minimal solutions)
- Setup D (95.24% PC rate, 9 minimal solutions)
- Setup E (93.69% PC rate, 9 minimal solutions)
- Setup F (64.76% PC rate, 3 minimal solutions)
- Setup G (64.64% PC rate, 6 solutions)
