Tetris 2 is a Tetris game for the NES, Game Boy, and SNES.

It plays similarly to Dr. Mario with multi-colored tetrominoes and hinged tetrominoes instead of domino-shaped pills.

Known in Japan as Tetris Flash:

since they already had their own Tetris 2.

Gameplay specifics

Tetris 2, as mentioned above, is similar to Dr. Mario in concept, where the player must eliminate all the flashing target blocks (which are unaffected by gravity) by lining up three blocks of the same color (Red, Yellow, and Green in NES, Black, Grey, and White in GB, and Pink, Yellow, and Blue in SNES).

On the bottom of the field are three special "flashing" target blocks. Clearing these will remove every target block of that color. The more target blocks that are removed via these special target blocks, the higher the player's bonus at the end of the level will be.
