Setris received a takedown notice from Tetris Holding, LLC and complied. Shortly thereafter it was rereleased under the name Sandtrix. As the new name suggests, this game plays on the stacker idea by having the pieces dissolve to sand once placed. Instead of completed rows of minos being cleared, fields of same-colored sands spanning the entire width of the board now score points and prevent top-out.
- Master101 takes the 20L Sprint world record, doing so in a TETR.IO 40L sprint. Before going on to choke, he cleared 20 lines in 6.733 seconds at a speedy 7.57 pieces per second.
The TETR.IO World Championships is a 64 player tournament taking place across 2023.

Qualification Stage - May 27 to October 21
Main Event - November 3 to November 11
Finals - November 17 and November 18
