Under Construction
KSD is an opener that starts with a T-Spin Single in the first bag, requiring only 2 rotations to complete the first bag. The second bag results in a T-Spin Double. There are 3 piece dependencies (L before S, I before Z and O before J) to execute KSD. Despite that, the speed at which it can be built compensates for the piece dependencies. This opener was originally created to counter PC loopers. KSD stands for "Kvodeth's Single Double".
First Bag
There are 3 requirements: O before J, L before S and I before Z.
The rotations needed are T and J only.
Second Bag
There are many variations to stack second bag.
6-line Perfect Clear
There are a lot of ways a Perfect Clear can be made.
- T-Spin Double + Perfect Clear: Either the O (first diagram) or Z piece (second diagram) will be kept on hold.
- T-Spin Single + Perfect Clear
STSD
Incomplete Cut copy Variation
180° rotation may be needed to spin the J in depending on the bag sequence. Without 180° rotation, it is impossible to place the J after the Z is placed.
Third Bag
STSD
If you choose to make an STSD in the third bag, you can always make it.
Perfect Clear
In case of the O before L continuation, the resulting shape can result in a Perfect Clear (76.55%). There are 16 minimal solutions.

Similar Openers
Currently, there are 2 openers that are derived from KSD.
TSD Tower
The TSD Tower is invented by Sioyaki. It involves placing the T piece vertically in the first bag. A T-Spin Double is always done in the second bag, and finally, a T-Spin Triple in the third.
TST Combo
The TST Combo opener is founded by Agent RO. It involves placing the T piece horizontally in the first bag. A T-Spin Triple is done in the second bag while holding S until the T-Spin Triple is done. It can be followed by a center 4-Wide.
