From Hard Drop Tetris Wiki
Dot Cannon is a C-Spin Opener similar to Gamushiro Stacking that gives a C-Spin -> Perfect Clear. It's notable for being much more streamlined than Gamushiro Stacking. The main form results in an 85.24% chance to PC in the third bag with only 5 minimals.
First Bag
The first bag is always built like this, or the mirrored version of it. With the mirrored version combined with the normal version, the build rate is 100%, but with only the standard form the build rate is 91.67%, or 4620/5040.
Unbuildable bags for the standard orientation's build have SLJO/LSJO queue order (8.33% of possible orders), while complementarily, the mirrored orientation's unbuildable bags have ZJLO/JZLO queue order - these being nonintersecting, you'll always be able to build the mirror when the standard orientation build is unbuildable, hence the 100% combined setup rate.
To increase build likelihood of the standard orientation without using the mirror orientation, the first L may be placed on top of the T as in the second bag to allow the O to be placed.
Second Bag
Assuming you're playing a game that has 180 spins and you're able to softdrop, the second bag will always be able to be built this way.
For those with infinite softdrop speeds, bags with queue orders with JOT > L > Z (5% of bags) can make the L placement problematic. In these cases, you can wait for gravity or compromise with a TSMS + single + single instead of TST.

Third Bag
PC Route
You now have an 85.24% PC chance with 5 minimals.
(47.62%, Save S) |
(33.33%, Save T) |
(30.79%, Save Z) |
(26.19%, Save Z) |
(13.33%, Save T) |
From this minimal set, the three save S/Z solutions have 65.16% PC chance and 46.83% T-Spin chance.
No-PC Route
Since 85.24% is not the highest PC chance, it can be useful to know non PC continuations.
metallicLurker's 100% nondescript 6-3 or 5-4
Hold I, take the TSD, then place I depending on whether you prefer 6-3 or 5-4.
Quick TST With Early J/L
|
Discovered by player “amogusdiner,” this setup allows for a quick TST with an early J or L, depending on if the setup was built mirrored or not. This setup does not allow for an easy transition into midgame.
Minimal set (3) of multi-T-spin paths
Z->O (ImpCross) |
O->Z, L->J (ImpCross) |
O->Z, J->L (Trinity) |
This is just a minimal set for all bags, you may wish to freestyle modified placements for better stack quality if queue allows.
