EA Tetris is a licensed Tetris game for Apple iOS and Android, available for 0.99 USD. There is a membership option, which gives lower shop prices, earns 15% more in-game coins, and a 15% higher score for line clears. The membership, called the T-Club, costs 2.99 USD for one month or 29.99 for twelve months.

This version of Tetris was later released for Android phones and tablets.

One-Touch

One touch mode offers a simpler way to control the tetriminos, by tapping the screen instead of dragging and sliding them. 1-5 possible placements will show up, and by tapping the outline, the tetrimino will drop there.

One-Touch gameplay

The scoring and levels is done the same way as Marathon Mode.

If the player doesn't accept the visible choices, they can press the cycle button on the left for more choices, or drag one of the outlines to the desired position.

Marathon

Marathon is like normal Tetris, but the controls are different since you are playing on a touch screen. You slide your finger left or right to move the Tetrimino left or right, swipe down to perform a hard drop, slide down to perform a soft drop, and tap the "Hold" icon to hold a piece. T-spins, Tetrises, Combos, and Back-to-back Tetrises can be performed in this mode.

Galaxy

Galaxy is an exclusive feature to the iOS edition. It is similar to one-touch, but the playing field is smaller, tetriminos are not randomly generated, and there are some blocks already onscreen. Players place tetriminos to remove the onscreen blocks. As you progress through Galaxy, Power-ups such as the fragment and the anvil appear. The better you do in Galaxy, the more T-Coins you earn, which can be used to buy songs or extra levels in Galaxy.

Galaxies include:

  • Tutorius 1: A tutorial galaxy giving basic instructions on completing the game.
  • Quadrix: The garbage well contains square-shaped holes
  • Tetriminosia: The garbage well is reminiscent of tetris pieces
  • The Well: Long vertical gaps
  • Diagonia: The well has large diagonal gaps.
  • Reptilia: The well is images of reptilian creatures (including lizards, snakes, dragons, etc.)
  • Amoria: Valentine-related well images
  • Yuletidus: Christmas-related well images
  • Perplexion: Small wells, tight tetronimo count, and restriction of powerups.
