From Hard Drop Tetris Wiki
Imperial Cross (sometimes Imperial Crossing) is a family of T-Spin setups in games using SRS. It uses SRS's spin triple twist plus an additional 180 degree rotation to make a hurdle double, followed by a standard T-Spin double.
Because of the 180 degree rotation after the spin triple twist, it works even in games from mid-2006 and later, which do not recognize a kick twist as a T-Spin.
The basic setup is as follows:

Cross Opening
In games that only reward no-kick T-Spin Single and Double like Tetris Evolution, Imperial Cross becomes a useful opening.

Alternatives
Two T-Spin Doubles / Fractal
By changing the position of the overhang, you can change from an Imperial Cross to Two T-Spin doubles, also known as a Fractal. This is useful if the garbage column is is directly below the cross.

T-Spin Triple
The second T-Spin Double can be replaced with a T-Spin Triple.

Also, an Imperial Cross and T-Spin Triple share the same base, and can be used interchangeably:

Double Imperial Cross
In some situations, you can turn the second T-Spin double into another Imperial Cross. This is handy if you are over a garbage hole, as it will make you end up over the garbage hole after the 2nd Imperial Cross.

It is possible to chain this (3 or even 4+ times), but not indefinitely as the number of pieces in bags used to set this up is imbalanced.
