SONIC DROP + DOUBLE ROTATE!!!!!!!!!

0 Line Clear Delay.

[!--quoteo--][div class=\\\'quotetop\\\']QUOTE[/div][div class=\\\'quotemain\\\'][!--quotec--]No auto-handicapping whatsoever[/quote]

Make these changes and I would play TF ;O.

yeah, slow down a bit with stuff like allspins and double rotate and sonic drop. As I understand they're asking us just to tune the game a bit, not to extend it that much.

Also, I favor rising, solid garbage. I feel that it's a part of the game. Opening game, mid game, and end game are all different aspects of Multiplayer Tetris that require different strategies.

Someone2knoe

Well they are just core aspects of the game that keep me from playing at all. And i thought of mentioning since they actually want to accommodate HD/Elite tetris players.

All spins would be fine, but it should be an option and not a ruleset, even t-spins should be an option.

I am perfectly fine in the pros becoming people who can see spins in like every move, they would be totally ownage. But I also see the need for people to still play the same type of game, and play with t-spins or without t-spins.

Are we addressing the teams issues as well?

I'd like to see:

Manual Reshuffling option for uneven combinations (either uneven rank distribution or just odd numbers)

2v2v2 support (3 team FFA)

Send to all option

As much as I love 180s/double rotates, I don't think they belong in an official Tetris game. Pieces jumping through seemingly impossible walls is too wacky.

If we're throwing in ALL spins option, it'd be in some peoples' best interests if we had NO spins. just saying.

As expected there are alot of differing opinions, but so far everyone seems to be on the same page about the following:

Changes to Expert PLUS:

+ Combo sends garbage starting on combo 2 rather than 1
+ Max combo garbage capped at 4
+ EZ T-spins send 1 line instead of 0
+ Garbage hole is changed on each attack rather than on each add to the field.
+ No or reduced line clear delay
+ Faster SoftDropping
+ No auto-handicapping whatsoever
+ Garbage to all in teams mode
+ Faster targetting movement

I'm going to relay this over to him and see if we can start beta testing the mode sometime in the near future.  From there, we'll make any needed adjustments.

Faster targeting movement? Does anyone actually not want garbage to all?

That is like saying "Hey we could make this totally fair with garbage to all, but lets just make it a random targeting system so the game can be unfair. Its not like anyone takes fairness in competitive tetris seriously."

Double rotate without twists then O_O.

I would rather have that then wasting my precious Key presses using rotate twice. Plus ive grown so accustomed to double rotate that I misdrop if its not there.

And yeah I prefer garbage to all. Do they have a system that just divides the garbage? And for fractions it just gets put on hold until its a whole number

Proposed solution: A key that simulates two rotations in one frame rather than simply 180 the piece. Potential problems: It would matter which rotation direction it simulates goes. There are things that could be done about that, but it'd be a little funky. For example, it could try two CW rotations and then -- if that 180 fails -- try two CCW rotations. This still may pose some problems in stack contact, but it'd at least work out in free space. SRS tends to be scuzzy for a lot of stack contact situations anyway, so maybe that isn't too bad.

Well whats that garbage system called?

And if I wanted a double rotate like that I could just use AHK ;p

In Nullpomino, it is called "Use fractional garbage." There is also another alternative to full send-to-all that uses a reduced attack table, but fractional garbage is what you were talking about.

In Blockbox, I believe the default Rated FFA uses a reduced garbage table, but some of the sends are worth, say for example, 2.25 lines to all.

I like fractional, as people die out it becomes 1v1 with normal sends, it seems the most fair.

Garbage targeting leads to bullying and bad/good luck.

double rotate would be nice, for  a little more speed and those nice twists,

that's a minor problem tho
