Sup, Tetris Sprint is my favorite gametype and basically I've slowly been getting faster and faster and now I want to break into the tetris friends top 100 with like 50 seconds or something. My problem is that I can't move the pieces nearly as fast as most replays above me. I watch theirs and I personally I can put the pieces in their places faster but I can't get them to their place fast enough. Here is my replay:

TF

Anyone have any tips on how to go faster?

ohitsstef

stack higher and then do more tetrises instead of doubles/triples

We do not forgive. We do not forget.

but he does only tetrises already. what do you mean?

55 secound is quite good time already (for tf sprint), you can't get much better than this with slow das, unless you can tap keys very fast like Blink does.

if you like 40 lines mode, play blockbox or lockjaw. i think all top 40 lines players play blockbox nowadays. tf sprint is only good for noobs.

Apparently you didn't even bother clicking on the replay, seeing as i got 10 tetrises and no doubles/triples...

although it may not seem like much, there are a few times in your replay where you hover and dont hard drop right away. try to hard drop as soon as your piece is in the right position without hesitation

That might be more from lag.  Just sayin'.

... And to get under 50 seconds on TF, you'll have to tap like your life depends on it. Good luck.

Well the best I can give you is to show you my replay: http://www.tetrisfriends.com/users/profile.php?id=649869

My tapping isn't too fast cause I'm so used to moving with my left hand and my right hand is faster.

The main thing that gives me good times in TF Sprint is using the DAS from line clear delays. So I like to stack high up and get double tetrises, cause that is a good use of DAS I guess. Whenever you clear a tetris, try and make your next piece DAS to a wall.

I don't really know what else to say other than practice. Not much else to say, your stacking is pretty good.

I refuse to switch over until i defeat blink at TF sprint.

And if you play sprint along with a metronome and gradually increase the speed, your speed will probably increase after a little bit.  I also have a hunch that playing sprint by memory (only looking at the hold queue) will improve your time, since you will memorize exactly the number of taps you need to get a given piece in the right spot.

Lockjaw supports this training mode:
