Well I guess If can't find out what controls are the right ones better just give up. I may think I have the right controls at the moment, then I find out some other controls that are better for some reason and it's like if I have to start from scratch. It's like if it's all about luck "hey I was lucky, I started out with the right controls"...

what might be right for you may not be right for some.

If your comfortable with your controls... then you win. If your controls aren't comfortable you change keys until you find ones that are. I'm the only one I know who uses the numpad keys to move and drop pieces... and I do just fine (TF Sprint 53s, starting to average 40LPM in both VS and Single Play)

This isn't a game where one control set is better than another, you only have 7 keys in play (move left, move right, rotate left, rotate right, soft drop, hard drop, hold) changing which keys are those 7 actions won't do much to help.

It might be an hour playing before you find out "Hey, these keys are bad... change them back" or 20m and say "I can use these keys all day!"

I use the tetris friends default controls but the problem with them is that I never spin ccw how bad is that for sprint?

if your really serious about cutting down your time, then spinning cw & ccw is imperative. and better to learn sooner than later.

i'm learning finesse right now, just to shave off a couple seconds. I wish I started doing it sooner

QuoteLike many setups here, it is useful if your opponent doesn't move and you get 4 Ts in a row.
