This is different from the HDO because of the amount of players and the amount of work/discussion that was put into it. Hopefully we take this much preparation for the next tournament regardless of TTC helping out. We can have turn out like this as well even if it was for Nullpomino. I think we could get 100+ people. I'm hoping we can do Nullpomino next. Unless TF makes some serious changes.

you are closing signups, but tournament was not even announced on tf.com or tetris.com . i was hoping for something that will bring more people and attention to competitive tetris, but this is basically just hdo with prizes. I am disappointed.

While I agree that HD is heavily represented in the tourney, remember that the tourney wasn't entirely to "get everyone signed up." I thought one of the goals was to demonstrate how tetris can indeed be exciting both to spectate and play, and it's no surprise that a lot of the HD members ("competitive" tetris players, if you will) signed up, while a lot of the casual players did not.

With that said, facebook does not get the word out entirely. Sure I got two of my non-HD friends to sign up, but it needs to more accessible somehow. Let's face it: streaming sites aren't as popular as youtube or something. Perhaps you could talk to youtube about getting a banner ad on the front? And of course, TTC staff could perhaps help publicize the event, especially when it comes down to the last 32 or 16 players.

EDIT: What I actually intended on asking on this thread was when the sprint times are going to be pulled. I think I can bump my time up another two seconds or so if I had a day or two

Tournament brackets will be finalized tomorrow night to give sufficient notice about when and who people are playing.  

I'm going to use Aaron's list which he pulled today, if anybody breaks their record by tomorrow let me know and I'll update his bracket accordingly.
