just checked. no update in eu.

yea the sound is just another horrible element of tetris ultimate. depressive music, sound crackling, sound spikes (that may even kill tweeters when matched with a low power amp).

what does it say for the patch notes? (update history)

Doesn't seem like it did anything. I check the game size on my Xbox one to see if a patch was even released yet and I noticed that the game size went from 501 MB to 498.3 MB so yeah. I did just do a brief scan of the simple bugs that should have been fixed but none of them have so yeah.

Ok, I couldn't resist. I "had" to take a look into it.

- Menu SFX has been normalized.
- Ubisoft Splash screen volume has been lowered beyond the game standard DB.
- Playstation Store is now open but no DLC available.
- Marathon mode is still a b****. Disappearning animations on line clears still exist and all the other bull****.
- Uplay now spams you when you start the game.

So, anything else?

- Sprint leaderboards no longer contain negative times. Unfortunally, the miracle 1 second gods still plague the boards.
- DLC for PS4 is the vita modes. Time's Up, Haunted, and Landslide confirmed by the empty leaderboards.

I played some more today just to see if anything else changed.

- Infinite matches still exist. I don't see any changes for tetris live.
- Change log 1.02 says "This patch contains various performance improvements and minor bug-fixes."

If you don't know, they have a "special" announcement at 14:00PST on their twitch channel. They're likely going to talk about the DLC and the PC release.

Given the info given about the "patch", I think it's safe to assume that the announcement is the DLC modes. To me, that means that Ubisoft is more concerned about people paying more money for stuff that should have been in game, then fixing what people already shelled out cash for.

thx for the changelog and report. it's still not available on eu ps4. not gonna bother anymore

yup. words fail me to to express my anger and disappointment.
the people that hold tetris gameplay ransom make a lot of money with a lot of people who don't care.
i've seen complaints that online is dead for vita online. (don't expect this to ever get better). it is of course not cross play. not cross bought.

watch it and you will see that they are as unprofessional as it gets. doesn't get worse.

i saved the video. so if they take it down i will find a way to send it to anyone interested. (about 400mb)

notice how none of them are good tetris players. below 40 avg speed. around 10lpm. they suck really bad and this is not ok. idc if someone sucks at tetris. i don't attack someone personally over this. anyone who plays tetris for a while gets pretty good and it shows they haven't done that even tho it's their job.

It's not their job to become good tetris players. However, they should have hired some good players as beta/alpha testers (e.g. in tetris worlds they had holdnext)

when you are developing a tetris game then you should play it a lot. maybe 100 hours? they had 3 "producers" and one of them said she played it daily. how come they are so abysmal at playing it? also adrian price just doesn´t care about tetris. actually none of them seemed to care about it.

3 new modes advertise due for, I think for the consoles at least, next week sometime. They didnt say anything about if its paid DLC and if it is how much it is.

and the gave us the same "A patch is coming". I feel like this should be a meme now.

the ps4 patch is now also available on ps4 in eu.

i played a few online matches. the core of the game is still broken.

laggy. input delay. frame skips. sound crackling. input misses. it's like the ps4 is about to tear apart.

ea's tetris online matches on ps3 didn´t have any of these problems. play it for comparison and you will notice how tight and responsive it feels.

in yesterdays stream adrian price and ceecee talk about the patch and the launch problems at the beginning. but they are spinning the whole thing by blaming the "huge friendlist" problem that ign reported. which is a non issue for basically everyone.

Oh man, here I go again.
I should also clarify that I am playing on the PS4.

As stated during the stream, there is 3 new "challenge" modes for DLC.
Each is 2.99USD or you can buy the pack for 6.99USD

You will NOT be able to see the DLC in the in-game store. You must either use the store app on the home menu or use the browser version.

You'll see Chrisketchum1 on the top of the leaderboards for landslide and time's up currently one it updates.

So time to debunk the change log!

- Framerate issues and dropped commands are still an issue

- Infinate matches in Tetris STILL exist. (Confirmed yesterday and today)

- Progression Circle still broken (I have a "game complete" of 115%!)

- Sound effects were actually fixed! Except for the ubisoft splash screen which is WAY below standard Db.

- I haven't had the application crash "yet". I only experienced it 4 times since launch.

- Leaderboards were not fixed. Yes, negative times were removed but those 1s sprint gods still exist.

So, I literally repeated my previous post...Yeah..Still looking for more team members to program a Tetris game.

The patch that was discussed during the recent live stream was in reference to 1.02. It was released on 00:01MST on the 08 Jun 2015. The devolpement team was unaware that the patch was released 1 day earlier before the playstation store update.

i have first hand experience with the ps4 patch and i will comment on the list:

that was about insanely large friend lists that really didn't affect anyone and the culprit was uplay. maybe they fixed that. they haven't fixed the regular frame drops, unresponsive input lag, net lag, overshooting, slowdowns, etc.

 – Multiplayer ending after KO It was reported that during multiplayer matches, some players could continue indefinitely even after they had topped out. This originated as a de-syncing issue and has been resolved. [Fixed
1 person reported this happened after 1.02. hasn't happened to me in 3 matches.

 – Progression circle
Players were not able to see their overall progress within the game as it was not populating with player information. Now you can track this information. [Fixed]

no idea. couldn´t care less about the pointless progress meters in this game. (4% average completion globally

 – Sound effects
When on the main screen the sound effects were inconsistent with each other when moving through options and were occasionally very loud. This should be corrected along with some other sound adjustments for a better audio experience. [Fixed]

the crackling is still unbearable. the volume was lowered during the ubisoft logo but still sounds horrible.

– Game crashes
Game crashes were occurring while on the search screen for multiplayer modes, occasionally on startup, and under certain circumstances. These shouldn't happen for players anymore. [Fixed]

can´t comment. hasn´t happened to me.

 – Leaderboards

the negative times were removed. the impossible 1 second entries are all still there.
