I'd rather believe the whole thing was a troll than actually real, but I'm not going to believe something just because I prefer it to be true :\

If someone lived their entire life as a troll like that how would they know what they really think, and what they're just pretending to think to fuck with people? Maybe Corrosive's beliefs started out as a troll which went wrong and consumed him and now he really does just think that stuff is real.
