As you can see, this is the most unhelpful forum to get help with your questions.

The only way you can get TOP to work on your Mac is by using some kind of software that'll let you run Windows on your Mac.  I use VirtualBox because it's easy to install, free, has good documentation and is very easy to set up.  All you need to do is to get a copy of Windows....

ask wojtek on the TOP forum. seeing as he reverse engineered the client, i woudl assume he has his own code-base, and hence would be able to recompile it for mac.

QuoteLike many setups here, it is useful if your opponent doesn't move and you get 4 Ts in a row.

He reverse engineered the client-server communication protocol, not the entire client codebase. He's bandied about the idea of writing a compatible client, but that's more of a long-term goal.

how did he change the client to change things like default room names, /spec etc...? surely that requires recompilation of the TOJ client?

/spec /ai: these commands make effect when they are sent in the chat window, it 's received by the server and proceeded on the server.
default room names: they are in the client resource files, and changeable.
those ones don't need change on client executable files...

but in order to make it compatible on mac, we need the src code of client exe and compiler for mac....

But we gave him the right answer you retard. Obviously if you want to run a windows program in a mac, you'll need some bootcamp type program.

What by simply saying "nope"?  That's hardly the right answer, I was the one who gave the "bootcamp type program" suggestion.  Really ManOfMiracles, your replies to these threads do not say a lot about your character, you seem to be quicker to jump in and attack people rather than read and think about what has been said.  Obviously.    Read the thread again.

I run in in vmware in unity mode, so the window is like it's native in your mac, but the vmare takes a lot of memory.
