haha i forgot about civ 1.
There was a hilarious or annoying protection against cracks in this game; Every now and then it would ask you a question and you'd have to look in the manual to answer.

Thats one of the only games my parents bought me along with US Navy Fighters, which was a crappy game for a 10 years old (way too complicated just to start the fu**ing plane you had to press like a million keys) :

I had this on my really old IBM. It had only bright pink, turquoise blue, black and white colours. I can't even remember what that graphics scheme is called.

A 2d puzzle game where you get points by squashing monsters with boulders and collecting gems. There are other modes where you play as a robot or a tractor. This game is HARD.

An amazing game where you have to build a dungeon, train creatures and then fight heroes or rival dungeon keepers. this game is SO GOOD. Examples of things you can do:
Capture heroes and starve them to make undead skeletons to fight for you.
Torture heroes to find out about their bases or to convert them to your side
Torture heroes to death to make undead ghosts to fight for you.
Place traps, doors, tunnels and fortifications at will to spite heroes who try and invade your base.
Gather corpses to spawn vampires.
Sacarafice your creatures at a temple to do random effects (turn all your creatures to chickens, summon more powerful creatures, etc).
Cast spells to aide yourself/annoy the enemies.
Possess one of your creatures and play the game from a first person perspective.

Once you are playing you probably want to find a list of the hotkeys, camera controls etc somewhere. You can also change the graphics options to make it look a little better.

A really difficult and cool turn based strategy pc boardgame. You have to extort money from people to hire gangs and research equipment. You then go and fight enemy gangs to try and complete various objectives.
This game is HARD and takes several hours to play.
AMAZING multiplayer if you can get it working (very hard to get running and find enough people though).

It's called CGA (4 colours), EGA was 16 colours, it's the same as the Alley Cat one I posted.
GTA Vice City opened with those colors too.

When I was little I remember loving the crap outta some :

and Mame or Mane (don't remember) 32 games.. which was some game (that i'm pretty sure was illegal) that my uncle put on our computer that had all the awesome old school aracade games on it such as super bubble bubble, burger time, popeye, something that was like street fighter but not at all.. you had the choice of 3 male characters to fight with and they were on the quest to rescue the mayors kidnapped daughter and you fought thugs throughout the city..

has anyone played a strategy game where
- you were an element [earth air fire water..there were others] in which
- you start out w/ [i believe] 1 medium sized element and 2 small elements in 1 corner n the opponent [i think could be either player or comp]
- the goal was to occupy more spaces than your opponent on a grid w/ road blocks
- the rules were you could only duplicate your element by moving to an adjacent space or jump over 1 space n forfeit your duplicate
- if your element moves adjacent to an opponents element, their pieces turn into your pieces. but only if the piece is smaller than [or equal to??] yours [i think..a lil shady on that detail]
- the small elements were like a small puddle, a breeze of air, a branch, a tiny stone, etc
- the medium elements were 2 small elements combined like a cloud of rain, a baby tornado, a bush, a rock, etc
- the large elements were 1 small and 1 medium element combined like more rain, a med tornado, a small tree, etc
- the XL elements were 2 medium elements like a lot of rain, a big tornado, a big tree, a rock thing w/ arms, etc
- you could also play w/ more than 2 elements on the grid

i think we d/led it off of aol games?? cause that's the only place we d/led stuff back then..but no one's heard of it from there D: the elements were pretty well graphic'ed [or so i remember/for back in the day] but the grid was pretty basic. the game is a little like 'conquest' on megatouch [they use aliens instead of elements] in its play, but the grid on that is hexagonal whereas the element game is square..that's about all i remember D: hope someone knows which game this is!!! ive been searching for it for years!!
