TC no longer condones clones, and tepples no longer condones TC.

If TC wants to focus on Arika products and only Arika products, all the better to concentrate the wider tetromino game community, including players of non-Arika Tetris games and fan games, on HD. I have removed the links to TC's forum and wiki from the position next to HD in my bookmarks. I'm even helping take TC's new rule to its logical conclusion: if the forum doesn't condone clones, then the wiki shouldn't either, and I've changed the articles on Lockjaw and TOD into soft redirects to HD's copies of the articles, and if I can get past the current dog-slowness of HD's server, I'm about to do the same thing to a couple more TC.net articles that mention fan games.

Yeah what I like about HD is that it deals with every form of tetris. Even games called typing tetris that is totally different than actual tetris.

If you're saying Mr. Rogers wants to buy the domain, then why is someone with the same username as you reverting my efforts to bring TC's wiki in line with TC's new policy?

I don't really care what happens around TC, but I figured they stopped condoning clones so that TGM4 would be released.

Just because an encyclopaedia has a page on heroin, it doesn't mean that the authors of the encyclopaedia condone drug use.

For one, do you guys really think that a forum which has pretty much been the main base for fan-made clones for the last three or four years would suddenly switch its objectives on a whim? It's not like the announcement was marked by a change of leadership or core members or anything.

For two, if TGM4 is still not released in 2020 do you really think that the ban will still be in place, given the quoted "main reason" for the ban is to try and defend TGM4?

what's with the "between the lines, but won't say anything concrete" stuff?

and I agree, that I find it strange that their wiki still lists all those games in complete detail (and even has top google ranks for those wiki pages, if you search for the games)
makes the new restrictions on the forum part of the site seem pretty silly to me, you could even call it hypocritical to some extent, or just not really in line with the new policy, as has been mentioned

It seems to me like whoever was in charge of the next TGM simply used the clones as a scapegoat for the blame. They probably wanted to spend money elsewhere.
