I'm not sure if any of you were looking for a Starcraft 2 beta key.  I think I was told blink was looking for one.

Well Gamestop online, as well as in store i believe, is offering a key with pre-order.  Figured I'd give everyone the heads up.

Not interested in the beta, will buy the game upon release. I would rather work on skills on the original that will have a greater impact of learning than a beta in which I can get information via stream/discussion.

Though I shouldn't have too much problems from what I'm seeing making the transition

You definitely have a point there. I'm lucky enough to have just gotten in the day before "grid" hotkeys were released. So I nearly didn't have to relearn any hotkeys in order to switch over (as opposed to people who got into beta early).

You do realize that situation actually occurred in a high level competitive tournament right? Top player was spamming the wrong key for a zerg infector skill causing the entire game to swing against him during the big confrontation. Though I do assume the "grid" hotkeys resemble where the keys match the position they display on the lower right corner (the 3x4 grid) you will eventually have to learn where all the keys are. I'm having a hard enough time on SC1 managing to keep 5+ gateways producing dragoons, while keeping all my nexuses (nexi?) making enough drones to saturate every base I have, and the probe key is P.

Though I hear jokes about the W key, whatever you want done is all assigned to the W key, its like the big "I win button!" Maybe it was the E key, its the Everything key!                

I kid, I kid... but it is fun to laugh about.

Even though apparently they're going to have custom keys later, I think I may stick with grid. Figuring out how to distribute work evenly across the keys is really complicated in this game (not like Tetris). I can't find any major flukes with grid yet. I'll probably change my mind later.

Grid sounds better than SC1 keys, Probe = P... yea thats kind of a tough reach. though having the hand skills from sc1 to go 4d5d6d7d for goons, or 5sz6sz7sh8sh9sh for zerg helps.

With multiple building selection, you can now hit 5 dddd or something like that. I'm not sure how Zerg's works exactly.

3->s-> hold down hotkey of unit
