im really tempted to purchase some rubies on tetris friends. i even made it to the payment options screen.

then i remembered how much the security at tetris friends suck....

I don't see what's so funny. I've been waiting for them to come around and implement fast DAS and re-implement IRS/IHS for ages, so the least I can do when they finally do so is pitch 'em a fiver off a Visa gift card I have lying around. Good on them for joining modern Tetris, right?

Oh, haha. I didn't catch that; I'll blame it on the lack of sleep. :p

EDIT: By the way, I've found that Magna was right that IRS/IHS is a bit off. The Initial input has to be pressed during the current delay period to trigger in Tetris Friends, whereas the correct behavior has it triggering if the input is held when a delay period is ending. tl;dr: You can't hold one input across multiple consecutive line clear animations and get an Initial action out of it each time in TF when you should, in fact, be able to do this.

Seriously, it doesn't cost much to get what you want, and it's a better deal than paying $10 for Tetris Zone, which doesn't even have multiplayer.

But if we're talking about this being for the masses, I doubt most casual players will want to either pay for good das or play for about 2 years for good das.

edit: and if they've been playing for 2 years, I reckon they'll have heard of toj, where you can get wojtek's patch or grind for 5000 tp for less time than 50,000 tokens

edit: In conclusion, if you pay 3 quid, the update is better than before. If you think your game should be free, it's worse.

I don't really have a problem with TF charging money for things... They are a business, after all. It just seems silly to spend five bucks when literally all of the other clones are free. I'd rather give my money to tepples as thanks for Lockjaw, or to any of the other fan game creators.

... Also, I'm a little bothered by the new "offers" you can do to earn rubies. It's just another reminder that Tetris is being commercialized.

you know, toj is the same when it comes to das unlocks, its just most of you use a patch.

Im not poor or anything, so if its worth the money for a quality game ill buy the rubies to do so. i want to see some good changes to arena first, mayhaps e+

also, its probably cheaper to do some of the special offers and get some of both, such as the netflix for 250 rubies, and there is plenty of free offers.

It's $20 for Tetris Zone now! Lol! I was going to buy it but then didn't end up bothering, because I figured the game was past its prime and wouldn't be supported much longer.

are you using the keyboard or your joystick?

I can only use 3 on my joystick, and it's still a bit unwieldily but I think I can adjust to it.   DAS 2 is fine.
