Except next will be "Count down to 4k members" 2x this goal and 4x the previous goal... then theres 8k, 16k, 25k, 30k, 50k, 100k, 1M... wait 1 Million members on Hard Drop... Won't happen unless TGM actually makes it to more US arcades.

Edit: Or other versions of Tetris get popular... which is doubtful unless we have a player count on Tetris Friends which can't be that high when most days it is around 650k games... which is probably 20-30k members trying to beat old scores.

2000 members isn't an unreasonable number.  At the pace HD is growing it will only take a little over 100 days to reach that number.  That puts us in early February.  I was guessing HD would hit 2K sometime around summer of next year, and if the pace slows that may be right.
