I'm a fan of Starcraft, Guildwars (although I don't play anymore), counter-strike, and left 4 dead.

I've been playing Heroes of Newerth recently. It's in closed beta though and you need a beta key to play.

I play and highly recommend Guilty Gear Accent Core. Blazblue, a game made by the same developers, came out on PS3 and Xbox360 recently and is also good. I would recommend Guilty Gear over Blazblue, but Blazblue does have online play. These are both 2D fighters for those who don't know. I also would suggest Street Fighter 4.

Besides the fighting games I have found games like Team Fortress 2 and Left for Dead on the PC to be pretty fun. It is nice to have a game where you just play around with friends.

In the way of Puzzle games, I'd say Dr. Mario (woot) and Puzzle League would be ones I enjoy and recommend.

I would also recommend SSBB if you don't mind the Wi-fi being terrible.
