Also having any semblance of fluid play using only a mouse is pretty good.

Now if they can just set hold to right mouse button so I can play with one hand.... ;-)

Wow, nice score! I only got 2.6 mil once and haven't been able to break above 1.8 since.

So how deep has everyone gotten? I'm trying to figure out where the "core" is that marks the end of the game. I've gotten to 15 with 7 lines remaining and intuition would say that it is at the end of level 15, but I don't know.

I think the idea behind tetris stars is, or at least should be, that it can be played easily with a touch screen.

Anyone here ever try playing tetris on a touch screen? Its a bit like going for a jog under water; difficult and not very pleasant!  It only took me one try to be cured of the wish to do it ever again.

But this thing might actually work on a touch screen i rekon... i should try it on one

OK, this game is available for a while and seems it's not so preview/beta anymore (it's advertised on tetris.com). So I'm here for some summary.

I am really disappointed about this game. Idea of mode based on downstack was quite promissing and also it looked like this game will be higher production quality than tf/tb. But this game turned out to be terrible.

Game is too lucky based even for facebook standards, what's more items are far too powerful, with 3 items game actually play itself (i think this was mentioned before). And what worst there are no replay value at all,  there is no point in trying to improve, because your scores will be pretty random, so you can't learn and get better that much. Also all highscore tables reset every week, so this kill purpose of aiming for best score anyway.

Other issues are lack of fainess, game has 2 types of mouse controls and keyboard controls, however playing with keyboard or mouse is totally different and your results will be very different, separate leaderboard would be more appropriate. same with powerups, why not add separate leaderboard without power-ups?

on plus site graphics and sound are very nice and whole idea feels quite fresh, so game may seem interesting at first, but sadle very soon after start you will get bored and annoyed and unlikely will ever want to return to this game. Tetris Stars don't even try to be a game, there is no goal or purpose.
