Some helpful 40L formulas that I use:

Time = (Pieces/TPM) * 60
TPM = (Pieces/Time) * 60

This just helps me keep track of where I need to be and how much work I have to put in for my short term goals.

Examples:

I want sub-25 using 103 Pieces. How fast do I need to go?

TPM = (103/25) * 60 =  over 247.2 TPM

What will my time be if I went 275 TPM and used 103 pieces?

Time = (103/275)*60 = 22.47 secs

Even if I go 300 TPM with a perfect clear, I won't sub 20. To be realistic, if I used 103 pieces how fast do I need to go to sub 20?

TPM = (103/20) * 60 = over 309 TPM    --- Yikes.

Yeah I have seen maserati do this as well.

The hard part is sustaining it for the duration of 40L. Which no doubt there are a few people who I think could do it eventually. It would be hard even for the fastest people imo because of the tapping speed limitations.

When I play games like nullpomino now my speed has barely increased because I can't tap as fast as I think. Some movements take a ridiculously long time for me to execute compared to keyblox. I think tapping speed is the main reason why most people hit a serious wall in 40L once they reach sub 35 (some are lucky and it comes later)

I feel that I have a better chance to sub 20 on keyblox than the fastest 40Lers right now. Not because I'm better but because tapping faster becomes increasingly harder and you hit a wall at some point. Hitting a wall in keyblox is a mental thing. If I could think fast enough my fingers are already fast enough to go 10+ KPS. If not then definitely over 5 (what I need for 300 tPM).

I don't have laptop out to check tpm, but it was 107.600 seconds

I'm out of town on vacation right now. I have been playing but its really hard to play on my new keyboard. I might just play on my laptop for keyblox. But i have been having too much fun on my new comp so thats why I have been lazy.
