Tetris / Re: Unnamed "new, cross-platfo...

Caught that too, both the Steam and PS online store are tagged with "Remote Play" supported, and no mentions of online multiplayer.

Pretty sure this is the game that was referenced by the "Cross-platform" quote in the article.  Disappointing because it mainly just packages up many of the classics into one, with one new local multiplayer mode.

Hoping to see a new official multiplayer game within the next year, but tbh it's not looking likely.

I suppose that does fit the ticket, but when anyone touts cross-platform I'm expecting online multiplayer. The Steam tags say it only has local/split-screen, but the release does cover every modern game console out there. Maybe we'll have to see what comes up when it releases. I'm also expecting a bit more when it says "new", but what can I say? I'm sour when it comes to classic Tetris.
Quote from: Steam StorepageUp to four players will "warp" between different eras of Tetris in real time to experience a variety of classic graphic styles and play mechanics!
Nintendo didn't call NES Remix a brand new game >:)

So this was likely Tetris Forever? I don't think they'll be making another game any time soon.

General / Switch Friend Code Exchange!

I saw Blink's post about 3DS Friend Code exchange, but the 3DS is long gone... Maybe let's exchange Switch friend codes to play with other people then.

Proud to be mentioned, and glad to see a guide of this quality not stuck on Google Docs :P
As allspin becomes more relevant after TETR.IO's Season 2 changes I'm looking forward to more stuff like this being published in general. It reminds me a lot of Spinnies, which was somehow created in 2021 :O (I was recently reached out by someone making a similar thing on Onedrive, although I don't know if I can link it atm)

Wow, I haven't finished looking through it all yet but this is really well done.
Thanks for sharing, could tell you put a lot of effort and analysis into this.

Tetris / How To Rotate Your O-Piece

I spent the past three months or so researching O-piece rotations and O-Spins in various Tetris games (and other stackers), and wrote a very detailed guide about them. It's a lot longer and more verbose than you would probably expect.

A couple of sections are unfinished as of writing and there may be a few errors, but it's mostly complete.

How To Rotate Your O-Piece: A comprehensive guide to the practical and whimsical applications of O-piece rotations in the Tetris series and Tetris-like stackers
