Variants, Other Uses, and Comparisons
One can build STMB Caves to extend above other T-Spin Doubles already on the field.

One can also make STMB Cave on top of another STMB Cave. (credit to Wumbo for the example)

Even without S/Z, STMB Cave could still be made by using other pieces. Commonly L, J and I. Can also be done using T, but it is mostly ineffective since a single T is wasted in the process.

Other than 3 columns wide holes, this technique could also be done on 5 and 7 columns wide holes. a few people named it Yakine Variant after the player Yakine made the video about him making 7-wide STMB Cave. (credit to Yakine for the 2nd example)

A T-Spin Triple overhang could be used as an STMB Cave base.

STMB Cave could be used along with Donation T-Spin Double for effective usage of pieces. As similarly seen in Pelican Opener shown below.

It's moderately hard to spot the opportunity, but one could make a T-Spin Double cut T-Spin Double by using STMB Cave. One can also cut more than a one T-Spin Double. This technique is named Bennxt Prop, named after the player who first introduced it. (credit to bennxt for all of the examples)

Compare these variations of STMB Cave below with Cut copy. By definition, Cut copy is a technique where one invests a T shape underneath a T-Spin Double and the overhang for the second T-Spin could be placed beforehand for two consecutive T-Spin Doubles. (top is STMB Cave; bottom is Cut copy)

Compare this variation of STMB Cave below with Kaidan. On these kinds of terrain, player could choose either one of these techniques depending on their NEXT queue after the T-Spin Double or the terrain left over after the T-Spin Double. (top is STMB Cave; bottom is Kaidan)
