Hi, this is for all players, whether you're a beginner or already skilled player - everyone can improve.  Don't be discouraged to post about your achievements/improvements, they are something to truly be proud of.  Don't be shy if you feel your skills are lacking, everyone knows we all start somewhere.  Feel free to use this thread to talk about your improvements throughout the week, what you've learned, what new techniques you've mastered, how much faster you've gotten, or just how your tetris skills are progressing.  At the end of each week, we will select the player who has shown the most improvement that week and display them on the main page as the "Player of the Week".  This will be ongoing to let the community monitor its members progress', have fun and let's improve together.


To start things off profane has been selected as this week's most improved player, having cut over 20 seconds off his 40 lines record and also having learned to use double rotate this week.  great job, keep it up profane.  

I hope to hear about other community member's improvements soon!

Oh wow i just saw this.  Thanks a ton guys.  I think Clincher said something about this to me yesterday and i didn't really know what he was talking about.  lol.  

And yes i recommend double rotate to anyone who isn't using it.  it's helping me a bunch.

I'm four seconds away from beating a minute in 40L... Which is three seconds better than I was two days ago. (I'll get it someday. )

good luck magna, looks like you're coming along nicely -  you shaved 3 seconds off in only 2 days.

If I go from not playing any tetris.. hence like 0 ppm.. to playing tetris again...  would that make me improve by infinite times? =]!

haha, theres always the week after!  very very nice improvement, thats HUGE.

Okay, as expected Maserati is named this week's player of the week for breaking the world record clearing 40 lines in 24.72 seconds.  Don't forget to submit your improvements if you want to be considered for next week.  There's already a few nice improvements posted so it will be tougher to choose next week's.

Mase certainly deserves it, an amazing time.  I've been devoting most of my effort to getting the word out on this site, but I have dropped my 40L time from 1:20+ to 57 :]

yeah nismo, thanks for all your hard work, definitely appreciated.  A 23 second improvement is huge too, i wish i improved this quickly back when i was trying to get faster.  People are cutting 20-30 seconds off their time in like a week lol, thats insane.  If members keep this up I'm going to start asking for picture proof in this thread lol.

Don't mention it :]  We both know though that 57+ on BB isn't any good for an elite or great player :x  I don't know about other people but for me cutting 30 seconds off at that high a time is simply just getting used to the controls/game.  What I'm hoping is that I won't have too much trouble getting down into the 40's and 30's.  I never really played tfast so the fastest tetris I've played before BB is unfortunately Blockles.  If only I had switched to 2..
