- Hatetris World Record Pushed Using NNUE
On the 5th of March, software developer TheCog19 broke the Hatetris world record using NNUE, which implements beam search based on knewjade’s work in previous records. After about three weeks of training, the neural network reached a score of 302 points, exceeding the 300 barrier for the first time. Hatetris is a Tetris Client that has no previews, instead giving the player the piece it determines would be the least desirable after each placement.

This week features an interview with the current TE:C Sprint world record holder, JaydenPPT. An incredibly skilled player and streamer, she has pushed the tuning-limited game to new heights and it is about time she gets her time in the spotlight.
- Question: When did you first play Tetris? On what client was that?
Answer: I first played Tetris on Tetris 99 when it had released on switch, I found the concept of a Tetris battle royale game so ridiculous that I had to try it.
- Question: What's your favourite colour?
Answer: My favorite color is probably blue, I also really like purple though
- Question: What's your second favourite game?
Answer: That's a tough one, there are many games that I enjoy, but in recent memory I would say either Pokemon Violet or Celeste
- Question: Who is an inspiration to you? Why?
Answer: There are many people who inspire me within the Tetris community, but the person has inspired me the most would have to be Moose. The amount of effort he's put into making the highest quality events in the Tetris community is truly impressive. On top of that he's always there to cheer me up and help me get back on my feet when I feel disappointed in my performance in tournaments.
- Question: sub 25 when
Answer: I'm not expecting sub 25 to ever happen, but I'm gonna go for it anyways. I've proven myself wrong several times when predicting the human limit in TE:C sprint which makes me still believe there could be a world where the sub 25 is possible, and I'm not giving up until I'm 100% certain there isnt any time left to be saved.

Answer: You can find me at twitch.tv/JaydenPPT, I'm not the most consistent streamer right now and I don't have a schedule but I still stream pretty often, make sure to stop by if you enjoy watching Tetris Effect content!
