Outlogic SD

Outlogic SD (also known as Octupus Tea Cannon, or earlier, ST Cannon) is an opening setup with the pattern of Single-line Skim→TSS→TSD→Perfect Clear. It has 96.39% chance of Perfect Clear with either 4 or 8 lines. This setup is discovered and named independently by Japanese community and a Taiwanese player Octupus Tea, and the former had it discovered before the latter. Kerrmunism and Agent 1568AH also contributed to this page.

First bag

The opener works the best with early S (or Z when mirrored) and preferably early I. However, late or held I results in additional 4-line Perfect Clear solutions.

If Z comes before I, one can build Stitch instead.

The setup rate is 73.81% (3720/5040) when counting both orientations, and 100.00% (5040/5040) if the skimming pattern is used.

If the 4-line Perfect Clear is not applicable, one should do a T-Spin Single using the T from the first bag and stack the second bag as follows for a T-Spin Double.

First bag skimming pattern

There are 3 skimming patterns that result in the same remnants as the first bag default pattern after TSS, and 3 other ones that result in the same remnants as the second bag after TSD.

However, only one additional pattern is required for Octupus Tea Cannon to be always stackable. Despite the different shape, the resulted setup is the same.

Shachiku Train (Mechanical TSD)

Repeatedly stacking Shachiku Train would form a column-rotated Mechanical TSD v3. This is not recommended in combats, since it results in increasingly higher stacking and two 1-wide wells.

The following special setup leads up to a BT Cannon after stacking the 4th bag. It is always stackable until the 8th bag (Interchangeable JLZS only covers 88.25% of all possible bags). It is also not recommended in combats as the stack and the KPP are both very high.

Garbage-interrupted variations

The second bag is likely to be interrupted if a garbage hole spawned under L or I (on the column 7 or 10, respectively).

Perfect Clear with 2-Deep Garbage

If the opponent opens with a T-Spin Double or Tetris, it is very likely for the garbage hole to be 2-deep, leading to potential Perfect Clears.
