[[Category: T-Spin Methods]] |
Revision as of 12:58, 3 December 2019
Mechanical TSD setups are repeating T-Spin Setups. They are builds that keeps repeating in one bag. The advantage of using these setups is that they are simple and easy to learn. They are similar to ST Stacking.
Repeating the same shape over and over again creates a T-Spin shape. However, because the height gets higher as more TSDs are done, you cannot repeat indefinitely.
Mechanical TSD
First Bag
In the first bag, use all pieces including the T piece and stack like so.
Second Bag and beyond
In the second bag, stack like so and do the T-Spin Double. In the third bag and beyond, stack the same way. In any bag, if you get an early T, then you may do the lower TSD instead.
The shape will look the same. But it is getting higher and higher and you have a few cells in the center. If the left side is like shown in the diagram, you may do an I-Spin to fill in that gap (shown during the fifth bag).
Also, you can do a Tetris while in the loop, to lower the setup. You will need three I pieces.
Notes
- You can do the mirrored setup, but the process is the same.
- It is possible to make this setup in a different way. Both the normal and mirrored setups are shown. Simply, the SL/ZJ and OJ/OL cores are swapped.

- Here is a diagram for the cores:

Mechanical TSD v3
First Bag
The first bag is made similarly to TKI 3. In the first bag, I and J need to come early.
Second Bag
In the second bag, you are always able to make a TSD if you use soft drops.
Third Bag
In the third bag, again, you are always able to make a TSD if you use soft drops. This time, the IO placement is different.
After that, the process repeats. Please refer to the fumen below.
Perfect Clear
There is a Perfect Clear after 8 lines in the third bag (71.67%). SZI is always fixed.

There is also a Perfect Clear after 14 lines (10.95%).

Abandoning the loop
Here is an example if you abandon the loop:
