Does this DT Cannon-like setup have a name?

I went through the list of T-Spin methods and didn't find it. Pretty sure it's mentioned on a Japanese site though. If so, what would be the translation? If not, what would be a good name? Hook Cannon?!

I am speaking of a setup that looks like a DT Cannon. Only difference is that a filled cell is missing in the lowest row (like in a STSD compared to a TST). After the first T-Spin Double is cleared, it results in a STSD (Super T-Spin Double). So, 3 T-Spin Doubles in total.

Theoretically, it can be also used as an opener:

[fumen]http://harddrop.com/fumen/?m115@ighlRpQ4FeglRpR4xhh0AeglwwBtQ4xhg0BeywBtxh?g0CeAtg0RpxhR4AeBtg0RpglR4BeAth0ilJeAgHvhDllB9q?BFqBAAA[/fumen]
And an alternative, crappier opener:

[fumen]http://harddrop.com/fumen/?m115@XgBtIeBtE8h0AeRphlA8Q4A8g0BeRpwhglS4g0CeAt?whglS4h0AeBtwhRpQ4wwg0BeAtglwhRpxwg0AeilzhwwJeA?gHvhDFgBdlBlkBAAA[/fumen]

Also, is there a name for when you have an additional line at the bottom of a DT Cannon with the hole in the correct column (thus making an additional T-Spin Double out of the overhang)?

oh yeah I love these setups. in fact i do them all the time, and there are many more than those you mentioned!
I personally call them "tsd cut stsd"
here's what I've accomplished to perform while recording (I've probably done others off screen):

this one looks like a misdrop lol:

another stsd can be stacked on top of it:

an stsd can also be "cut" with two tspin doubles:

tspin triple setups can be "cut" with a tsd as well:

this particular tsd cut tst already has a name I think, that I am not aware of:

I am personally not a big fan of real life object names based on how the setups look. I prefer referring to them as tsd cut stsd

Okey_Dokey

Those things have usually a name in the wiki, if it's a setup consisting of a T-Spin Double and a T-Spin Triple.

That's a DT Cannon 2:

That's a BT Cannon:

But as soon as it becomes a T-Spin Double into STSD, it's usually nameless. The T-Spin Double cannot only cut the STSD in different columns, it can be also moved often by 1 column. AFAIK the only setup with a name is Trinity. As soon as you move the bottom TSD by a column, you get a nameless setup.

That's the setup I meant:

That's the one where the TSD is moved by a column:

That's the setup I meant with an additional T-Spin Double at bottom:

This kind of setup is included in the BT canon article at the bottom:
https://harddrop.com/wiki/BT_Cannon

They simply call it "BT Canon STSD"

So your one is to be called "DT Canon STSD" I guess.

If the japanese call it something less boring then we should adapt it! xD

Okey_Dokey

Thanks, you've got a point (I never read through that article, surprised someone else did). Will add "DT Canon STSD" to DT Cannon article (and probably "DT Canon 2 STSD" to DT Cannon 2 article, mentioning them once under STSD makes also sense imo).

WendyLoL used something similar in TTO III:
[fumen]http://harddrop.com/fumen/?m110@CcE3kbE3kbE3kbE3kbE3kbE3kbE3kbE3kbE3kbE3kb?E3kbE3ibZiE3jbYiE3aigbYiE3YiQphbIwE3RphbIwE3Qph?bJwE3pbA4G7eOVxc9bBOVBZIB6MB1rcd2cd7cFbBNwc11cd?gBN6clfBAAA[/fumen]
It had an initial T-Spin for a total of 4, and required building before the last 3, but besides that, it's the same.

According to poope, "DT Cannon with bonus TSD", or "DT Cannon with bonus". Here is another example of the "bonus" naming convention.

That's an interesting opener. On the down side, 4 T-Spins is a little long and receiving a garbage line with a hole in the 3rd column may break the execution of the final STSD. In the video, I also saw 2 DT cannons stacked above each other. Didn't know this was possible.

When I use this as an opener, I call it "ダルスフレイム" (=Dulse Flame) in Japanese, named by 雪ダルス(Yuki Dulse).

I do this regularly for giggles. I had honestly thought it might be my calling card.

Oh well.

Kids. Don't do it. Those T pieces don't understand.

But if anyone who knows what love is, will understand.

Does really nobody know the name of this setup? It must have a name. It's predestined to be included in the DT Cannon Wiki article. After completing the T-Spin Double, you literally get the same stack.

Also, don't want to make a new threat: Does somebody know the name of this Single-Triple-Double setup? Saw jackh1771/Squirtle stacking this opener in a tournament match against dhuang. I would like to add it to the Mr.T-Spin's TSD Wiki article. Like in Mr.T-Spins' STD, you can always stack the second bag in the same way, no matter which pieces you get (with the exception of the unimportant pieces to the left side). One difference to standard STD is that you can't chain the TSD into the TST. Also instead of the TSD, you can build a TST or an Imperial Cross. And you start with a lot of floating blocks like in Albatross Special.

I don't know, but I would like to nominate the name "super duper t-spin."

Okey_Dokey

"super duper t-spin"? Honestly, I don't think that's a good name. A superlative for a barely used setup isn't that good and we have already Super T-Spin Double which shares no resemblance to this setup. If coming up with a name, I would prefer either a) something with STD for the LOLz and so that you can recognize what it does from the name or b) a bird name because of all those platform single bag T-Spin Double openers (Albatross, Petrel, Flamingo, Pelican, Dodo).

Oh I was talking about that DT Cannon looking thing. It was meant with tongue in cheek.
