Could anyone give me a time scale of their improvements? I've been playing for about 9 months now and started at around 1:45.

I hit

Sub 60: 1 month
Sub 50: 3-4 months
Sub 40: 1 year
Sub 35: 2-3 years
Sub 30: 3-4 years

Every player is different.
Some people are hitting sub 30 within 9 months of play.
