yeah, immobile detection opens up a whole new can of worms  that looks really useful.

Earlier yesterday, I was in a gold FFA room and did something like this. Not the exact but basically a Trinity over an Imperial Cross. (Note: I was KO'd before completing it :/)

Is there any way to recreate this?

chopin

Here ya go. I can show you how to make floating block one too later.

Here is a screenshot and situational possibilities (using the May setup) from a game I played earlier with the Doctor.

it would be so awesome to do that with memoryless in KoS

that May was pretty sweet. it looks risky stacking up so much but i guess you can deal with many different piece sequences once you get there. looks like you judged the tempo of the game correctly and made it work without topping out first heh.

I've been doing this in VS, if I end up with a 2-wide column, I don't set up more than 2 spins because at that point it just takes too long to clear.

Edit: Will add another one, gotta go now.

That shape is also a mini-double setup. Or you can make a ZST too

C-Spin or Triple-Double Attack is a very popular T-Spin Triple into T-Spin Double these days. There may be a lot of potential for new Triple-Double (alt.) setups for Other Spins. Here is one involving a TST into a JSD. Not very good distribution of pieces but this is just an example. I'm sure someone will be able to think of some good ones.

pretty sweet  yeah there have to be more of those out there. if the slot in the TST-JSD were moved more towards the center of the field would there be a way to get it started without using 2 J's?

this is a flexible opening for KoS/Nullpo and bag randomizer. you have the option of twisting J or L for starters, and there are some good ways to continue from there (i didn't include TSD but there are several ways). if nobody has named it i'll call it jobu.

Re: Helix

I have been using an improvement on that on KoS for some time now, which I dubbed the zipper (for obvious reasons):

[fumen]110@1dE3hbG3hbI3hbG3hbI3hbG3hbD3pbA4G[/fumen]

It's more flexible because you can arbitrarily alternate S and Z pieces. I used to open with it, but I've found the 4-wide 1-residue twist "factory" to be more useful. I don't know if it has a proper name (it's on the wiki under "continuous twisting setups"), but I like to think of it as the Unlimited Twist Works

A variant can be done with J/L, but it's not quite as useful:

[fumen]110@rdE3ibF3ibI3gbI3ibG3gbG3ibI3gbC3pbA4G7eFaj?qiAUH98AQOc/Dloo2AU9UTASYbSAyE88AQWrTASY91Dp9BA?AKjqDARkkAAiIPCADTBAAmnqrAZH5TASIvdDuoo2ABjkNEF?bEcEhBVTAS4WSASIiXEFbEVCFbkzDFMdCAyhBAwNAA[/fumen]

Eh, while I'm here, here's a couple other neat things:

I called this one the boring, "OJS b2b"
[fumen]110@JeC3ibG3ibF3jbG3hbE3pbA4G7eFDcBu7c+bBP8cHh?BAAA[/fumen]

The equally boring "ZLT b2b"
[fumen]110@EeF3ibG3gbI3gbI3gbH3pbA4G7eHkMBKrcqrcqwcCW?B96claBAAA[/fumen]

The "get out of jail free card" :V
[fumen]110@5bkzjblziblzhblzibRpkzhb1ljbRp3lgbIwibss1l?D3gbI3gbG3gbI3gbI3gbI3gbI3gbH3nbB3nbB3nbB3nbB3n?bB3nbB3nbA3pbA4G7eHigANfAUgADiACcAFlAHbANjAtdA3?scJ4A7eCi9AVFBAAA[/fumen]

And finally, a selection of first-bag +5 attack setups (KoS rules):
