Hello everyone!

I've just signed the offer for an internship in Google and will be coming to US around January 10th for 3 and a half months.
First I'm going to spend around 10 days in Mountain View, after which I'm heading to Seattle/Kirkland.

Since you are my favorite community  and a lot of you are from the US, I thought I could ask some help here as this is my first time going to the US.

So...I was planning on going Mountain View - Seattle by bus or train, any good sites where I can find something like that?
And some website for plane tickets?

And for people living in those areas, any advice for a visiting tourist?

Thanks!

Thanks  I'll bother them a bit then when they'll have time. So larry is both seattle and CA expert.

Cool  Which city? Any recommendations on what to go see in Seattle as a first-time-tourist?

Are you from there or just coming temporary?

I took Amtrak from San Jose -> Portland and Seattle -> San Jose. If you don't mind being on a train for literally 24 hours, it's an option.

Maybe not if you're looking to sightsee (unless your idea of a destination is an arcade ;p ), but I can try to help if you have any assorted questions.

go downtown, pike place market, space needle, waterfront, there is like the one mall downtown, a gameworks somewhere next it

you can think about going to visit the islands, mercer island, bainbridge island

come to the university of Washington, I go to school there..

other than those things there isn't that much to do in seattle

And hello everyone from Sunnyvale, CA

I'm 2miles from sunnyvale, but officially in mt view

Kitaru

How long will you be staying, eevor? Did you want to meet up with any players while you were here?

Hey guys. Just arrived to Kirkland, WA. Was in Sunnyvale only during this week, had a lot of stuff in my schedule and I don't drive so was pretty much on google campus the whole time.
I felt like the only pedestrian in California.

Vipjun, sorry, I missed your post  we were quite near probably, I went Sunnyvale-MTV-Sunnyvale every day.

I will be in Kirkland for the following 3 months, working at Kirkland office. If any Seattle-area people want to meet sometimes, let me know

Also, Emerald City Comic Con. Who's going for that? I don't want to go alone

Kitaru

Ah bummer, OK. Well, have fun in Washington, hopefully you can meet up with some of the guys there.
