How fast are the fingers of tetris players?

Since finger speed correlates with finger dexterity, it does reflect piano playing ability. My limber fingers certainly helped me with my piano playing.

if he did it like me, i actually pressed the left and right keys at nearly the exact same time with the pinky and ring finger on the same hand. i had my ring finger slightly elevated above my pinky finger so the key press would most of the time only register after i had used my pinky to push the right arrow key. so, you're still following the rules of the game by alternating left and right key presses... but it is kind of cheaty.

Over 11 seconds with right hand.  
But sub 10 seconds with left hand, which I use for rotate & drop.  
So at least a bit Tetris skill, which carries over for me.

I get 7.69 seconds with an Autohotkey script, which simulates 1000 x left & right in that time.
