Just out of interest i want to know if there are any touch typers who are under 60wpm.. because i personally think if you know how to touch type it'd be very hard to be under 60...

By touch typing i mean traditional 8 finger, or some equivalent (up to your interpretation)

By hunt and peck, i mean 2 or 3 fingers darting around the keyboard.

I even left an Other choice for the rest of you

QuoteLike many setups here, it is useful if your opponent doesn't move and you get 4 Ts in a row.

I had to reply to check what kind of typer I am

I use like 4-5 fingers while I type, what does that count like?

i voted "Touch Typer > 60wpm"
i should probably add that i use dvorak layout, not the common qwerty

i'd say it's still Hunt n Peck

also, i did just one test to see if i get >60
and it was a reallly reallllyyy bad attempt. like, quite a few times i'd freeze to reread the words in the text. etc (it wasn't in my native language) and yet i got 70 ish wpm

Estrelleta

I just took the test and got 80.

ManOfMiracles

I touch type and get like 50- 55ish scores. Don't know how people get like 80.

Maybe it has to do with my keyboard since it is very old and you can't really "touch" the keys. You have to actually press them lol.

lol there would probably quite a few in this category. but the main point of the quick survey was to determine if there were touch typers < 60wpm or hunt-n-peckers > 60wpm.

It seems like roughly 60%+ of touchtypers are above 60wpm...

im actually surprised that there are so many touch typers... or hunt-n-peckers are just being shy

I'm not.. i would expect a large majority of people on this forum to be touch typers.

mindloss

about 125wpm here, too...

TypeRacer

Mule

100+ to IDK wpm

TypeRacer can get buggy, one time it said I was typing at ~400 wpm.
You see the name "Mule" and you see a picture of a cat. There is no problem there.
