Tetris Friends is not shutting down

There was a rumor going around that Tetris Friends was closing, based on this announcement they made.

"Dear Tetris Friends Fans,Tetris Friends will no longer be available on Facebook as of Aug. 31, 2012. You can still play Tetris on Facebook at Tetris Battle on Facebook! Thanks for your support, and we’ll see you in Tetris Battle!"

I sent them an Email asking if they were discontinuing Tetris Friends in it's entirety, or simply removing it from Facebook.
Their response:

"No,  just the Facebook version will be shuttng down. The web version will
remain operational."
