Please, for the love of I-pieces, don't make it single elimination for the first two rounds. It's unfair for the people who will get smoked in the first (or second) round to not have a second chance.

I agree. keep it double elim even if you go to 32. Shen it might delay the inevitable for the finale but i join these tournies to see how i fair against everyone not named BlinkeboAnonymous its only fun imho if you feel like you might be able to win a few games. Single Elim takes that idea right out the picture.

we should be more encouraged to try to place high in the tournament rather than just getting 1st. Its still an achievement to beat people you couldn't beat before. So yes for Double Elim.

I don't remember my exact sprint time but I just played and got 45.66

Um I think it would help if you actually read the first post it could help understand or answer your question.
Pretty much I was going to host a tournament with only 16 players because it would end faster and then we can all finish by the new year.. however a number of members came to me and would like to play so I posted a waiting list to see if we could reach .. 32 instead...

Is it really necessary to make the deadlines so far away? Honestly I think that is why people usually start to drop out.

We should have quick and strict deadlines. If people are available at the time of signing up they shouldn't have too much trouble scheduling with the intention to play so fresh in their minds.

Why don't we ever do tournaments that start a specific time and everybody meets up? Sure some people won't be able to participate due to time zones but at least we'll keep a huge chunk of people. But an alternative is that we could split the tourney into regions then the later games will be scheduled/commentated.

EVen if you don't apply that to this tourney I'm just suggesting it for tourneys in general
