I've been playing arena quite a while, stuck at rank 20 and fluctuating in EXP points but can get to 999.
I still can't do the "other" rotate. D:
Is there any strategy to learn it or is it just play with the Z key only? D:

Okay, enough of jokes.
But seriously, what's a good way to learn it? Through multiplayer? Sprint? Ultra? Marathon?

Paul676

everything, I was being serious - just play. I wouldn't do multiplayer though, you'd be tempted to go back to your old style. Do it in a no-pressure scenario like sprint.

Start off very slowly. Don't move the piece when it first comes out. Just look at it. Then, look at where you want it to go. Figure out in your head which direction you need to rotate it, so that you will only either need one or two rotations (never three). Don't move until you know. Then, make it happen. Do this for every piece at first, and eventually you'll catch on.

Anyway, take caffeine's advice, it's good. What you need to do is change the mental "path" that is leading from observation to action. Slowly and deliberately is the way. If you've ever played an instrument, you might be familiar with this - forging ahead full speed is a great way to keep making a mistake and make it harder to unlearn.

No pressure as in - you can take your time (not focusing about it either) and don't have to worry about garbage-lines coming at you, is probably what Paul meant ;D

So far, what you guys said made it go better.
Except, playing in arena worked (it's still slow, but more efficient as I'm not pressing rotate 3 times )

Thanks everyone.
