Struggling with fast DAS?

Many computers have custom software which messes with your DAS/AR.

Check your keyboard settings... I just uninstalled the drivers for my fancy keyboard and it's brought my sprint time on my computer down by about 7 seconds, almost on par with how I perform on my Laptop.

It's amazing how much difference it makes. (I'm using a Sidewinder X6)

After more testing it seems some games affect the Repeat delay of your keyboard RELATIVE to the settings you have saved in Windows, thus leading to different speeds at the same DAS/AR settings on different computers.

That sounds right. 5 das is too hot for me to handle on my laptop but perfect for my desktop on nullpo.

weird... but u can clearly feel if it is 5 frames or not....?

can u clarify how to "fix" the problem?

You need to be aware that you can't just set your DAS/AR in a tetris game, you also need to tweak your keyboard settings if you aren't happy with the performance.

I've found that it goes away in Tetris Battle if I turn my system keyboard settings WAY down to minimum - Then it performs the same as my laptop. I imagine the fix will be different for different games.

Also this is annoying as I have to change my keyboard settings back once I'm done playing/want to actually type anything.

I'm going to write a .bat script to do both, if possible.
