"I appeal to TF Arena the most now mainly because of the large average of online players it has, how fun it is, and because I've finally come to appreciate the effectiveness of comboing and t-spinning, which is now a larger part of my style than my speed b2b tetrising. I've learned that fan games divide the community up and split them apart to the point where I can login onto Blockbox, NullpoMino, or any other fan game at any given time and see only 0 to 5 players online, which is a bore, and I don't enjoy playing against the same people everyday. I believe that NullpoMino will never see a steady amount of users online because 99% of worldwide Tetris players have never heard of it nor will they ever see it advertised anywhere, making it virtually non-existant unless you manage to hi-jack a superbowl commercial (even then, you can't even associate the word TETRIS with it in any way). It being a download file cripples any future it has further, because it is inconvenient to install, set-up, and tweak through the absurd SEVERAL pages of customizable settings in order to adjust to what you want or to replicate what settings you have on your home computer. A game like that is a huge inconvenience to any player who isn't a total TGM nerd and they will gladly prefer entering tetrisfriends.com in the address bar any day. Browser-based Tetris is the most appealing, especially thanks to google chrome, and was the one and probably only thing that kept clones like Blockles and Blockbox thriving for so long. So you underground Nullpo addicts enjoy circle-jerking each other over and over in your little elitist circle while everyone else is out playing on the mainstream scene with the rest of the world. You'll never see me on that game ever and likely nobody else either, because, realistically, a fan game is just a fan game, and people aren't going to jump on the bandwagon of some unofficial rip-off of what's popular and the real thing, whether it's an Xbox360 game, PC game, or what have you. No one's efforts on this site can reform or set the tetris scene, only TTC can do this."

TetriNET2 will always be the most successful fan game. There were 60+ people on at times during the summer and it didn't have TF to compete with.

i just counted the number of players in platinum rooms with no maps + no items + expert plus and got 31. not so special now, eh?

unless you like playing in gold rooms or with maps and items or with handicapping, in which case, enjoy your TF

15 players are on, 9 people are playing/spectating. Then theres the idlers who have been logged in for days probably and are just populating the lobby.

Compare the numbers tomorrow between platinum lobby and nullpo at any other time and not at 3 in the morning EST.

nothing existed back then which made it necessary for there to be a fan game. now, nothing more is needed. on tf arena i can finally adjust my sensitivity and go fast, i can customize my controls, visually tweak things if i want to, and be able to play with people other than the same idiots that I've been stuck with for the past four or more years since tetrinet2 who I am better than.

the whole concept of an elitist fan game shuns any newcomers or beginners from being on the scene. it will be the 15-30 of you playing against each other forever. enjoy your little pond while I go play in the ocean.

I think this subject has been heard enough, if you don't like nullpo, and u think TF is superiour have at it, oh well your loss... but noone wants to hear about it over and over and over..........................

Lol, Corrosive. Why are you always trying to pick a fight somewhere? You don't have to play Nullpo if you don't want to. I like TF a lot too, but in recent times it's been unplayable for me, and especially now I can't play without it freaking out.

It's not our fault that games aren't being made playable for many people. It's not a coincidence that everyone on TF complains about 'lag.' In the meantime while official Tetris games are getting their priorities together, we will be playing on games we find reliable - which at the moment are great clones such as NullpoMino.
