There's a smart messiah! It's the pronunciation that blatantly makes the most sense. Tetris, dominoes, tetrominoes.

MINO!!

Are you pronouncing that like minnow or me-no?

Maii04

Me-no
it sounds cooler
minnow = a person or thing that is very small and insignificant.
--> all the reason not to pronounce it minnow

tetromino. i agree tetrimino is teh fail.

I saw it once and I laughed at their mistake, then I saw that it was literally everywhere. Momentary rage ensued, followed by a bit of research that vindicated them only slightly.

It is just so they can have it be closer to the pronunciation of Tetris and subsequently trademark their misspelling. Tetromino would be the proper mathematical term as far as I can tell.

How would it be the mathematical spelling? io believe the mathematical spelling would be like Tetramino

That is correct. While tetra– is the proper prefix (tetralogy), the word is meant to be a parallel to domino, and so I feel it only makes sense to maintain a similar pronunciation.
