I think there is an irrational part about the love on Nullpomino. I do agree that it has great potential simply because the community has control over it.
But I think the main reason why people support Nullpomino is because they feel part of a community, the one that "know", the one above the crowd. This is a  classic sociological behavior.
It's interesting to see that the people the most aggressive about other games are the ones that support Nullpomino or Blockbox. If those games were that better than the other cited, why would you need to be so aggressive to prove it?

If people just saw that blockbox was superior, there would be no need to be aggressive

You can play BB style on Nullpo. Nullpo is picking up pace fast. I think we're going to have spectate on single player modes next version, too. Things are getting pretty slick. :]

Yeah TOJ got my vote as I felt that was the most fun and competition I ever got out of tetris. I haven't been botherered to get the new DAS patches, so I'm a sad panda on TF (great game, just too many combo n00bs at rank 20 and I keep dropping inputs). I would get into NP but my flash drive is broken at the moment so mostly playing at Uni to procrastinate assignments, but also still not used to the small previews which make me play really slow.

Er I was playing toj before you even got on tf. I don't insult it, I simply believe it's not as good as other games. Stop being so dramatic about it. None of the people who are adverse to it being the best, have no experience with it.

And also, I've played nearly every Tetris variant out there, and in my opinion TOJ isn't the best, its noob friendly cus its full of noobs, thats about it, same as TF. This is about the quality of the game, try rating on that perspective.

You are sadly mistaken - TOJ has some of the best skilled all-around Tetris players in the world.  To name some off the top of my head who would destroy you 1v1 in it - rowa ks, kan-kerisu, heborisMAI, SAMAF, Trance, panna, covaya.

Name 3 players who would destroy you in blockbox, you probably can't.  

Just because you played some casual players on TOJ and beat them easily doesn't mean the game is all noobs, same with TF.  The platinum rooms actually have players which can give a challenge.

Don't let the cute graphics/art from these games fool you, they require a lot of strategy and are more complex than you think.  To excel at Blockbox you need to be fast, good at downstacking, efficient at using hold piece, and can stack for Tetrises well by using your next pieces.  To be good at TF and TOJ, those alone aren't enough.  In addition you would also need T-spin knowledge, garbage countering awareness, timing, and combo skills.  

People beat players on the lower levels and think that everyone on the game is noobs, but if it's that easy then shouldn't you be one of the top players?

everyone has different opinions. i like all the games howerever i dont like bb and nullpo as much as the others is because i feel awkward playing (i'm not saying that they are bad games). I started playing out with tf, so im most comfortable playing there. the play on toj is similar to tf and therefore i feel comfortable playing there. in my opinion toj exceeds tf so therefore its my favorite game to play.  you get me?
