The ELO rating ladder is up and running! There will be more features added to it in the future, but for now it is ready for ranked battles.  

RULES

1.  This HD community ladder is for ALL Tetris games (TOJ, Blockbox, Tetris Friends, Nullpomino, Tetrinet2, Cultris, TDS, TPD, ANYTHING!) , feel free to issue a challenge in any game to any other ladder player with a note of the rules of the challenge.  For example:

2.  After playing a match, BOTH players must report matching results for the score to go through.  When the first person reports the score, the 2nd player will have to verify it. If only 1 person reports the score and the other player ignores it, it will take effect after 1 week.  If scores don't match up, then the first person to report can edit his score if he made a mistake, or you can talk to me and i'll ban whoever is false reporting.

3.  If you quit the ladder, you will not be able to rejoin the ladder or play any ladder matches for 2 weeks.  When you come back your rating/records will not reset, if that is what you were planning on.

Glad you got it working!

Is there a way we can filter it to play opponents close to our rank? Maybe have a column for sprint times and be able to rank sprint times. That way you can find and challenge opponents of similar strength.
(I know it just got started working but ideas for the future)

It would be cool to have a tier system working! Kinda like the blockbox league that happened awhile ago. Where every once in awhile you need to play promotion/demotion matches or something interesting like that. The ELO rating system takes many games for it to organize and straighten out properly.

whats with the due date thing? is that the date it will happen or is it like if i issue you a challenge and choose the due date to be june 5th, then after june 5th does it go away? imm confused

I'm too lazy to check/reread, but on the ladder page, will we be able to see what game the matches were played on?

For now you have to check the my battles page for any open challenges.  In the near future it'll show you on the ladder page (My battles (X) where x = any open challenges), and maybe in the far future some PM support.

yeah we def. need some pm support, I'm pretty sure I'll miss almost all challenges, since I'll probably never check the ladder page
should be relatively easy to patch the code for that tho

yeah should be by client.. so we know which players are willing to play which games.. -coughs bb haters

I like it this way- this way you get to see the all-round best players rather than those with weaknesses. Maybe in the future you might be able to do rank by bb, tf, toj etc, but only going from the main page of the ladder as you look at it.
