*remember - this is after the TETRIS logo on the T-piece so saying 'tetris' in the subtitle might be repetitive.

please state your reasoning to help us decide. the logic behind your vote could change our minds!
or if you vote for 'add other suggestions' - please add one!
the content will appear where the orange and blue japanese letters are now:

I voted leave blank cause I think the logo should be left as it is. Titles such as 'English Patch', 'English Edition' or something similar could be placed in small writing at the bottom right of the logo.

i said TOJ Eng, but something of that nature is fine, i actually think english patch sounds better.

Magnanimous

English Patch sounds good. I think it'd be a bit much to have the translators' names right in the middle... Though I wouldn't mind if they were off to the side somewhere.

Would leaving that logo as is (with the japanese characters intact) be leave blank or other suggestion?

You can dump a credits.txt file or put it in a translated launcher for people to know who made it possible.

TOJ is repeating would be imbalanced repeating Tetris twice, Online Japan makes most sense and the others would be absolutely pointless to add. So it would either be Online in orange, Japan in blue... or make a side blurb that goes "English patch presented by..." that would be on the overlay with the names of users presented.

I still stand with leaving the logo unchanged... but since the translation seems to have broken into all aspects of the display why in the world would you leave the logo the same...

I voted "names of translators"; I believe the words can be translated to foreign languages.

ok seems like 'English Patch' has the most votes so far.
that sounds good to me~
it will be smaller & hopefully i can find with the same amt of bubbliness as the japanese version ^^b

sheena: harddrop.com has been incorporated into other parts of the game and i will be making a hd theme for those that want to use it when i'm done with all translations

the problem with leaving it blank is that i have recreated the background image and i've already noticed parts that i've done wrong - there might be parts other people might find that are imperfect ;[ if only they had the background image somewhere!

oliv: what's onrain lol

have virulent said "Everybody Play Tetris" is literal translation? I got few ideas like " everybody play in english" or "finally english". I also think "patch" sounds kinda geeky, i would like "fan translation" better.

I think Fan translation sounds geeky lol.

Its really just opinion though.

English Patch describes it exactly, however. I would be fine with either that or the literal translation.

The makers of the translation should be credited somewhere, this is just not the right place to put it.

Here's a translation for French and German that Everybody Play Tetris:
French: Chacun Jouer Tetris
German: Jeder Spielen Tetris
