After completing the new survey on tetris friends, it has become apparent that they are planning to develop a premium version of tetris friends that will be fullscreen and can be played offline. What would it take for you to shell out some cash for this? What's the maximum you would spend?

Depends on annual fee, lack of ads, etc. but if its too high I'll just go get VIP on Blockbox. Probably $10-15... but thats pretty high even for Tetris (please note TOJ I'd pay more than that)

I wouldn't mind doing a one time fee if it would get rid of all of those annoying ads.  I wouldn't be a fan of a subscription fee system though, I'd rather just buy a game one time and get it over with.  Subscription fee games always feel like i'm just renting the game per month.  If it's the current Tetris Friends game I'd pay around $5-10.  Depending on the quality of the game and if they continue to make strides towards competitive play such as garbage blocking, faster soft drop, faster line clear delay - i'd pay $20-30 happily.  I already know I'd still buy it even if it was more expensive, but i'd complain about how expensive it was.

For TOJ I would pay up to $50 no problem if it meant everything unlocked and no ads.  That might sound like a lot, but the amount of fun and enjoyment I've had on that game is worth so much more.

shizi u cheapskate, lol. But seriously, I wouldn't pay anything in its current form until they've improved on what blink stated. I would pay a one time fee of $20-30 if there is actually any feature worth it, but I dont know what target demographic TF, but if most of them are young'uns, I don't think they will make much from that sort of business model. Blockles tried doing premium accounts too, I dont know if that went very well either.

$10, only if it's at least as good as TOJ.

Shizi

the game has way too many problems.. and until they get rid of it being browser based.. i wouldnt pay anything

meow

i correct myself.. i ain't paying a cent to the company that shut down tetrinet2 T_T

xlro

in the current state, definitely zero: $0
if I'd pay at all (a well done game with improved gameplay and control settings), it would had to be a small one time purchase, I'd almost certainly would never pay a monthly fee for TF
there is and will always be free alternatives, which are just as fun to play

If custom autorepeat gets in, I wouldn't mind adding $30 to my budget. I'd probably only play the "Live" variant, though. If competitive-friendly features like identical garbage and skill-based matchmaking or some other good way to play intense 1v1 games were to get in, I'd shell out even more money.

tempfelix

Not more than $10, unless there are large improvements.  I think if it was any more than that i would buy tetris party or a copy of tetris ds from somewhere, and just play that.

mmm.
I'd pay nothing.
I'd just go on a different game or something.

it depends, I would most likely pay if it went offline.

I don't mind the adds so much, I'm not sure If I would pay only to get rid of the adds.
I'm not into the idea of a subscription service.  If it turned that way I don't think I'd pay as those fees add up over time.  Ultimately this depends on the fee, something like $5 a year would not be an issue, $2 a month would add up.

It obviously costs money to run the site, and they are constantly improving things.
Currently the adds pay the bills, so I don't mind them.   If paying was optional to get rid of the adds, I think I'd keep the adds.

Is TOJ's premium account a one time fee or is it a subscription service?

If someone didn't know that tetris friends was a game this thread could have an entirely different meaning.

I wouldn't mind if they gave out merchandise like one of the options was. I could forgive myself paying a 1 time fee if i got a t-shirt or something else cool out of it.
