Rosti, your connection implies 11MBps, but can you actually download from servers that fast. What's the "ceiling" on most web servers if there is one?

Surprisingly, I can. Torrents (especially what.cd ones) can get easily up to that sort of speeds, but regular sites can manage it as well. Admittedly, most of the time they limit out around 3-6MB/s but there are some that can just about get into double figures.
Most of the stuff I ever need to download is on the University DC network anyway, which definitely gives a full 100MBit connection, and I don't have to worry about my total network usage on that either, because it doesn't count.
