"Next Piece" Player Spotlight Nominations

I broke the 3 minute barrier on Survivor
I got a sub 20s driller time
I got a 40.03s 40L time
And I've been averaging high 40s and low 50s LPM
It's been a pretty good week for me

It's that time again!  The player of the month for October is none other than heretic!  congrats man, you deserved it (along with a few others but there can only be one).  

He made some really impressive improvements in both singleplayer and multiplayer, especially considering that he's already at a skill level where improvement is hard to come by.  I know alot of players have witnessed his steady improvement since when he first came to HD from Blockles.

Also some great improvements this month by clincher, ZZOmega, Anonymous, Zactastic, not_trig, itsameSMB, mzhang, Hypocrism, solo2001, GoldPlatedDish, and Boingloing.  Keep it up guys, those are some really nice achievements to be proud of.

so far this month I:
-learned t-spin triples
-Got a new highscore in mission marathon on tds
-Broke 100 TPM/BPM (iiblocks & tetrisfriends)
-recruited a friend to cpu tetris!
-Got a new ultra highscore on FB tetris
-Improved my sprint time of TF(Broke 1 minute!)
-Passed level 150 on TDS marathon endless and crushed my old highscore by at least 5 times.

I'm kinda plateauing (is that a word?) at 1:10 - 1:20 on 40L
But sometimes, I like to play a few random 40L games, just to see if I've improved at all

Also, I've S9'd Marathon 1 on BB and avoided being torikan'd for the first time in Marathon 3
Now I'm working to get GM on Marathon 1...I can feel I've got the potential to!

I'm there with you.  I did knock about 4 second off of my tf time and got it down to 1:14.7x
My bb time is down to 1:12.xx

I did finally make s3 on both texmaster and heboris G#4

I heard someone speak of POTM icons that could behave the same way as the HDO1 trophies do
So here is a proposed set of 12 POTM icons, one for each month, as well as a golden Player Of The Year, two models of a golden Grand Master icon and a set of "trophies"
All are the same size as the other trophy icons (16x16)

At the beginning of this month, my 40L was about 1:15, I just broke my record and now it is 1:08. Goin for under 1 minute by the end of the month!


EDIT: Just got my Survival time to 1:56, goin for 2~2:10!


EDIT2: Just beat my Driller time of 1:25 with 1:17. Aiming for under 1 minute!
EDIT3: Driller is now 1:14! (Nov.12th)
EDIT4: Make that 1:07!(Nov.12th)

Player of the Month for November is m__ for breaking his personal bests in Blockbox, Tetris Friends, Heboris and Texmaster.  Also big props to solo for hitting 50 seconds in his "beat blink challenge" and zzomega for his big improvements in BB.  keep it up =)


GPD, thanks for making those icons, they look really nice. I'm not sure if we're going to do something like that for POM though.
