When I'm playing TGM and such, I typically just listen to the game's music. If I'm playing Tetris Friends Survival or something though, I might put something on in the background. Whatever I listen to varies depending on my mood. Tonight, I went from listening to The Speedfreak to listening to The Pillows, hahaha.

for some period of time when i played blockles, i used to listen to the radio because i liked keeping the amt. of applications open to a minimum (the game would lag like hell). i eventually got annoyed by the songs that kept repeating and stopped listening to radio, playing in silence instead.

since i started playing blockbox, i've been playing a lot of post-rock in the background. i like having something on when i play, but i prefer that it's something where i don't have to worry about getting distracted by lyrics at all. stuff like yndi halda, mono, do make say think, etc.

the only times i listen to stuff aside from that nowadays are on monday and thursday nights from 10pm-12am. on those days, i tune into corrosive's show :]

I listen to the Grateful Dead channel on Sirius channel 32.  It's perfect for Tetris concentration.

I think I play best when I zone out... usually I repeat "lines, lines, lines, lines..." and then eventually my thoughts wander to other things such as conversations I've had or responsibilities I must attend to. The more involved I am with my own thoughts, the better I do

If I listen to music, I get thrown off, especially if the song ends or there's too many words.

I haven't found the exact songs, but basically I listen to all kind of music while playing tetris. How your play will change depending on a particular kind of music also depends on one's mood.
