I remember talking to some Tetris folks about this site, and I think I'm not the only one who spent some time on it. If you have, be aware that they seem to be implementing a new policy which will charge $2 a month for inactive accounts. You can cancel your account by contacting support, I guess - that's the only way I was led to believe I could do it, since I didn't accept the new ToS and therefore couldn't use the site proper (including the FAQ, lol.)

Just a heads-up.

Edit: Some of you might see this thread and get curious what I'm talking about, or even sign up. Be warned that the exposure here may mean you wind up playing people who are good at Tetris instead of a bunch of noobs...

They blocked me from logging in on Speakeasy. Some location detection gone awry. I still made a couple hundred bucks though.

I've played on king.com, and they paid me when I cashed out. They also made me fax in some documents, but after about 2 weeks the money showed up in my paypal.

Another site I've tried was worldwinner.com and they also paid out. Maybe I'm lucky. I've heard a lot of stories about them refusing to pay, so I only deposited like $10 so I wouldn't feel too bad if they scammed me.

I remember LapSiLap playing as well, he introduced me to it and was my biggest competition in the large cash tournaments. I think we both made some good money off these sites.

Like many setups here, it is useful if your opponent doesn't move and you get 4 Ts in a row.

I once found a skill game type site which let you play a Tetris clone for money. They started me out with a few bucks (no charge), and I racked up around $50 in the first day. When I went to cash out, I found out that it wasn't allowed in my state. Figures.

It does use a rating system, so the more you win the harder it gets. If you pay me I'll tell you how to game it for maximum effectiveness! Wink.png

I found a tetris game in a pub one night. It paid for everyones drinks that evening. You could consistently make 10 if you were fast enough.

Touch screen though so a little unresponsive.

Well, I haven't been there in years. Too bad, it was actually an interesting game. I made most of my money at klick klack variants though, they had better payoffs. (Bigger tournaments at lower ranks, etc.)

You have to pay to access it. It comes up in the game search before then, but you can only get the page as a paid member.
