QUOTE(myndzi @ May 23 2012, 07:43 PM) *

I can certainly confirm that there is more to it than it seems. I was goofing around the other day with floating overhangs and wound up doing a pattern on a whim. I blame it on Shuey Smile.png

(Note: much easier without trying to do colors, but still took a while!)

Hey myndzi, I built this same exact pattern and did each layer a different color, so it creates a rainbow. What do you think would be a good name for this design combined with the way that I built it? Some names I've thought of so far are: rainbow block muncher, or 8-bit rainbow monster...

*update* Nevermind, I uploaded it and gave it a name:

I'll be adding some more patterns as replies to the originals posted by Integration (mISStAKE)

Pft, just 173 lines. Looks like this was too easy. I demand it in colors like the pixel muncher or another rhombus on top!!! Ahaha, not really Smile.png

Hey Integration, I built my own rendition of your butterfly pattern along with a silhouette:

Oh, such a beautiful butterfly! Pretty colored and so symmetric. Nice skin, you have chosen. Only some antennae are missing, but is that even possible with a 10 x 20 resolution? Smile.png

Hey Shuey, do you think you could upload the butterfly replay, but without a ghost piece? I think you should be able to turn off the ghost piece in the replay file.

Edit: Forgot to mention, but really great work! I love that butterfly. =D

Yeah, I can't believe I didn't think to remove the ghost a long time ago because it's always getting in the way of the patterns after the perfect clears. And it's easy to remove, so I'm going to start doing my future patterns without it.

As for uploading my replays, I personally don't feel comfortable doing that. I honestly mean no offense to you or anyone else when I say this, but I kinda compare uploading my replay files to a photographer uploading his/her negatives, or a silk screener giving away their stencil =/.

Thanks for the props on the butterfly Smile.png.

Oh wait, I didn't mean uploading the replays, sorry. I meant if you could upload a youtube video of the butterfly without the ghost pieces. I totally understand that you don't want to upload the replays; I wouldn't either, if I were you!

Could you upload a youtube video of the butterfly without the ghost pieces?

Sure, I can make a video of it either later tonight or tomorrow some time. I have to ask too, and I ask this out of ignorance: why do you want to see the building process without the ghost piece?

Just finished reading the interview (yes I'm abit slow, struggeling with finals atm). Anyhow, the way you feel about tetris patterns is the way I feel about Sprint, I just simply (to quote you); get lost in my own world. Which is why I play tetris in the first place. Anyway, really nice interview! Hope I still have the pasion you have for tetris now, when I'm as old as you (lol).

Good luck on your goals, seems like you have alot of them! Least but not last, keep up your amazing patterns and good luck in general!

I don't know, if StS meant that: You could make a video of your Tetris pattern collection. Some kind of best of. Just screenshots, no building process shown. And there it would be nice to turn off ghost piece - if you still have the replays. Though, very much work for just a video.

Well... I love seeing you build patterns, but the ghost piece at the end always disturbs me (and in my head I always go "damn, he should have done it without ghost pieces!"). It then occurred to me that you could do it with a ghost piece - I'm assuming it helps during the building - and turn it off when recording. No real reason for my asking, other than that. ^^
