Would it be good to worry about DAS and all that technical jazz early on, or when I get really good at Tetris? Can't really describe my skill, not good but not bad either.. Sticking Out Tongue.png

I don't think it would really hurt you one way or the other. If you're interested in learning about all the technical doodads, go for it. Some players prefer to just play and learn as they go. If it's simply a matter of "will changing the default autorepeat allow me to play faster?", then yeah. That's usually the case.

I'm starting to hit a wall with my speed, my arena tpm average is around 70 and my best sprint game is around 80ish. I've tried different tuning from from 1/1 to 5/5 and I've been using my beta account for the url hack with settings ?das=110&ar=0&ihs=true&irs=true

I've noticed when I'm trying to place a piece a few notches over from the starting position I end up going 1 notch too far and then I have to backtrack(leading to misdrop and wasted time). I enjoy playing with high sensitivity but it seems no matter how quickly/lightly I tap it slides too far.

Are there going to be times when I have to tap right right or is it possible to have the right touch?

Like many setups here, it is useful if your opponent doesn't move and you get 4 Ts in a row.

Does playing with a joystick rather than a keyboard make any noticeable difference like being easier to play with or play faster?
I've been looking into USB arcade joysticks, but the only good ones I can find are $40+ so I can't really test it out for myself Crying.png

The top speed records were set with keyboards. It's mostly only TGM players who go with joysticks.

I think you need one extra block on the right side like this.

http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Wired-Keyb...R19BDYWPJ4PA3ER I've been thinking about getting a mechanical keyboard, but I don't know if it's worth it. Does a mechanical keyboard make a difference compared to a regular keyboard. Also is this a good price for a keyboard.

Those of us who've bought "gaming" mechanical keyboards usually have good things to say about them. Not always the case, though. ~$10 is a good price for a non-mechanical keyboard, supposing there's not an extra lying around anywhere.

After how long would it take to get a sub 30 sprint? Obviously it is going to be different for everyone, so I'm just looking for a rough timeframe. I am curious so I can set a nice goal/challenge for myself
